Ayrshire covidiot with virus symptoms coughed in police officers' faces after cops breakup illegal party

An Ayrshire woman who said she had COVID-19 symptoms coughed in cops' faces after officers broke up an illegal rave at her home.

The reckless woman's actions are one of many brainless coronavirus breaches Ayrshire police have had to deal with over the past two months.

Ayrshire covidiot crime logs have revealed a catalogue of illegal lockdown parties that have taken place since the end of November.

The incident involving the woman coughing at cops, took place four days after Christmas, and saw revellers fighting after a party at her home. Cops raced to the house but the brazen crowd refused to open the door.

Incredibly, a missing person was found within the property after police forced entry to the dwelling.

The woman was charged after coughing in the faces of officers. Cops were wearing FFP3 masks — typically worn by healthcare workers to provide protection from viruses, bacteria, and solid or liquid toxic aerosols.

In another incident, police also broke up a party with around 100 people taking place in Ayrshire at the start of December.

Officers say that ravers rented the property and the majority of those in attendance dispersed as cops arrived.

Officials say a follow-up enquiry with the householder will be launched to establish the full circumstances and identity of organiser.

And at another illegal gathering, 35 brazen fight fans were busted watching the boxing in a barn in Ayrshire on the night Anthony Joshua retained his unified heavyweight titles after knocking out Bulgarian fighter Kubra Pulev in the ninth round on December 12.

The host of the boxing bash was charged and their friends were issued with fixed penalty notices.

Freedom of Information data obtained by the Daily Record shows that police dealt with 22,000 complaints about unlawful gatherings of covidiots across Scotland between November and early January this year alone.

In another incident, on November 19, police attended an ongoing noisy house party in Ayrshire. The owner of the property had already been issued with three fixed penalty notices and reported for breaches of coronavirus regulations.

The woman was arrested and released on a written undertaking with conditions preventing persons attending her house.

On December 5, cops attended another noisy house party in the region and were refused entry. Officers put the door of the property in and 15 people were found within and all issued with fixed penalty notices.

Today, Ayrshire's top cop said that policing during the pandemic has always been challenging and this remains the case.

Chief superintendent Faroque Hussain, divisional commander for Ayrshire, told Ayrshire Live that his officers will continue to use enforcement powers to break up illegal lockdown parties.

CS Hussain added: "The vast majority of the public have continued to comply with the regulations. We're asking everyone to continue to do the right thing to stop the spread of this virus and protect public health as it's clear that there is an ongoing risk.

"Parties and indoor gatherings of different households are not permitted and we will continue to use our enforcement powers to disperse large groups of people where necessary.

"Policing during the pandemic has always been challenging and it remains so. Officers have approached this challenge with professionalism and commitment as we would expect them to do.

"The safety and welfare of our officers and staff has been a concern and high priority since the pandemic began and we have worked tirelessly to ensure our people have the support they need as they continue to play a vital role in the national effort to combat the coronavirus."
