Ayrshire children's super selfies decorate school fence in amazing display

Clever children at Irvine’s Annick Primary have risen to the challenge and brightened up the area around their school during lockdown.

The children were asked to draw self portraits to hang on the school fence to help bring the school community ‘together’ when of course they can’t be with each other in reality.

Jenny Ryrie, teacher at Annick Primary explained: “It’s been some time since we’ve been at school and we wanted to do something to bring our school community together in a different way before the summer holidays.

“We are amazed at all the wonderful, smiling faces that have appeared on the fence and are extremely proud of all our boys and girls for how they have coped being away from their friends and teachers."

She added: “We can’t wait to welcome them back to the school very soon."
