Campers who trashed an Ayrshire beauty spot have been slammed by police.
Living gorse was hacked for firewood on the Carrick Hills at the weekend while a trail of booze bottles were left behind.
Bottles of Mad Dog and beer were among the alcohol dumped by those who camped on the hills.
And even a car exhaust was piled within rubbish left behind during the "dirty camping" incident.
Authorities posted the incredible image on social media tonight to highlight the clean-up operation left behind.
Police Chief Superintendent Faroqur Hussain said: "Very disappointing!
"We're asking our fellow citizens to be respectful, be kind, be courteous and leave no trave behind of your visit.
"And please, use your common sense if you start a campfire.
"If you spot people behaving in this manner call 101 and remember you can use @what3words."
