Film producers swapped Dubai for Ayr for a huge Bollywood romantic blockbuster.
Bikini-clad dancers from South Ayrshire strutted around the sand for the film scenes.
Prestwick zumba instructor Fiona Young got a call asking if she could organise some dancers at the last minute for a shoot.
They performed a routine for the film from famous Bollywood producer Himesh Reshammiya who has 1.5 million Facebook likes.
Professional dancer and choreographer Fiona said: “Scotland has a great name in the film industry.
“Somebody in the crew said they were supposed to go to Dubai but then chose Ayr.”
She added: “They filmed us dancing on the beach and in the water.
“It was a fun way to spend a Sunday.
“It was very last minute. Apparently they had originally booked models but they said they couldn’t dance.”
Fiona said the date of the shoot, May 12, was one of the hottest days during the recent spate of good weather.
The dancers alongside Fiona included Sarah Ferguson, Emma Fullerton, Abby Dunlop and Abbie Watson.
Abbie, 25, said: “I got a call asking me to be at the beach at an hour’s notice.
“The crew had been filming in Glasgow and Edinburgh and were so taken with the weather, they decided to head down the coast.
“They said the original plan was to film that part of the video in Dubai.
“Ayr’s a bit different to say the least but the weather was gorgeous and the beach looked brilliant. It’s great for the town of Ayr and from what I’m told, this is expected to be a big hit.
“Me and the other girls were just delighted to play a part.”
Ayr West councillor Siobhian Brown said: “I am absolutely delighted to see South Ayrshire being used for a global production and for them to come to our lovely part of the world. They will always be welcome.”
