An area in East Ayrshire is the second cheapest to buy property in the UK, according to Money.co.uk
The comparison site's list is compiled by postcodes and KA1 5ER is second-only to an area in Peterlee, County Durham.
The postcode takes in Kerrmuir Avenue, Hurlford and it has been named as a 'bargain property postcode', with it costing £51,044 on average to buy there.
It's the only Scottish postcode to appear on the list – with the likes of St Helens, Hull, Liverpool and Swansea all making the list.
Top-ranked 'bargain postcode' AL1 5HA in Peterlee averages at just £41,462 to buy property – 86.84 per cent below the UK average.
A statement from the comparison site said: "Head up to KA1 5ER, Kilmarnock, and make huge savings on a Scottish home.
