A 36-year-old man held two eight-year-old girls against a wall and ordered them to sing.
Thomas Caddis, of Ayr, behaved in a threatening manner on June 3 at an address in Ayr. He held the girls against a wall to prevent them from leaving and demanded that they sang for him.
Caddis appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last Thursday, when he was also sentenced for charges of assault and acting in a racially aggravated manner on November 9 at Lidl on Allison Street, Ayr.
Defence solicitor Steven Maxwell admitted Caddis had “run out of options” but asked Sheriff Scott Pattison to let him complete a community payback order which he is service.
The sheriff jailed Caddis for nine months.
