Ayr United are to help join the fight against Covid by offering Somerset Park as a vaccination base next week.
The club's hospitality suite will become a pop-up clinic offering jags to those in need of their crucial shot.
The clinic, which will run next Thursday, August 19, will be available to anyone aged 16 or over who is yet to have a first dose, or for those where it has been 56 days (eight weeks) since their first vaccine.
United chairman, David Smith, told the Ayrshire Post: "The vaccination programme has allowed us to take positive steps back towards normality both in every day life and at Ayr United.
"The progress Scotland has made is fantastic in comparison to other countries and we want to do what little we can to help.
"If having a drop-in centre at Somerset Park helps keep that momentum or maybe gets some of the undecided to get the vaccine then it’ll be a success."
Lynne McNiven, director of public health at NHS Ayrshire & Arran, added: "The vaccine offers the best level of protection against the virus and we encourage everyone to take the opportunity when it’s their turn.
"Vaccinations are not mandatory, however we strongly recommend people come forward when they are invited."
The Ayr United clinic will operate between 2pm and 7.30pm next Thursday.
