Ian McCall has tonight agreed to become Partick Thistle's new boss, The Ayrshire Post understands.
The former Jags manager is set for an emotional return to Firhill after being prised away from Championship rivals Ayr United.
It's understood McCall has given the green light to the move after agonising over his future this weekend.
The deal, which is subject to compensation between both sides, is expected to be rubber stamped as soon as tomorrow.
The Jags, who sit bottom of the league, approached Ayr for permission to speak to McCall about a stunning return.
It follows nearly five successful years at Somerset, including a run to last season's Championship play-offs.
The side currently sit joint top of the league following yesterday's 4-1 win at Alloa.
