Ayr's Arthur Street Kitchen is set to roll back the years with an old school charity night

One of Ayrshire’s top nightspots is to roll back the years.

Arthur Street Kitchen in Ayr will stage “Ayrshire’s Biggest Old Skool Night” later this month as part of a charity gig hoping to raise thousands.

The UV (ultra violet) night will be hosted by Ayrshire favourite, DJ Colin McArdle.

And a packed bill includes DJs Dean Burnett, Sinki, Cotter, Deejay, Mark Mercer, Dave Glover, Orryy, Macca, Paul Gannon and Stephen Holland.

The night, on Saturday, July 27 has been organised in aid of Alzheimers Scotland by carer Ainsley Henry.

As part of her entry into the Young European International beauty pageant, she has chosen the charity to support.

Ainsley said: “As I work as a carer, a lot of my service users and families are affected by Alzheimer’s and all the hard work it takes to care for loved ones.

“Alzheimer’s Scotland does fantastic work for sufferers and their families, so was an obvious and very worthy choice.I was looking for a venue and contacted Jon at Arthur Street Kitchen in Ayr, who was absolutely fantastic and just as enthusiastic.

“Using his knowledge and connections we have put together an absolute cracker of a night and I am extremely grateful for his help.

“I hope to raise around £3000 on the night as well as making sure people have an enjoyable and memorable time.”

Jon added: “The line-up put together is second to none and we think it should be a fantastic night.

“There will be a real old skool vibe and we’re expecting a big crowd to come from Ayrshire and beyond.”

Tickets are priced £10 with £7 from each sale going directly to Alzheimer Scotland.
