An Ayr restaurant has closed down after a worker tested positive for coronavirus.
The Ghillie Dhu notified customers that a member of staff had contracted COVID-19 and that the venue would be closing as other workers are self-isolating.
The Burns Statue Square bar and scullery announced on Facebook that staff will be getting tested as a precaution too.
The post read: "Unfortunately we have now been notified that our team member has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating at home.
"We are remaining CLOSED and have asked all other members of staff to isolate for 10 days and get tested as a precaution to ensure the safety of everyone. We are communicating fully with Test and Protect and will follow their advice as required.
"Any other close contacts will be notified by Test & Protect in due course, but we are hopeful that the stringent procedures which we had put in place will mean that there is no further transmission.
"We want to reassure our customers that their safety is our absolute priority and that every possible step is being taken so that we can reopen securely with confidence. If you have a booking in the next 10 days we will be in contact with you to rearrange this.
"We appreciate your support & understanding and look forward to welcoming you back when it is safe to do so."
