An Ayr community is pulling together to help those affected by tonight's explosion with several hubs opening their doors to provide support and shelter.
Amongst those currently open are the Queen Margaret Academy, Kincaidston Community Centre and Ayr St Columba Church on Midton Road.
South Ayrshire Council say the academy is being utilised as a 'rest centre' for local people.
Bob Bartholomew, who is session clerk at Ayr St Columba Church, said: "The church is here to help in any way we can.
"We've got a warm hall here and tea and coffee; even if people just want to sit quietly and come to terms with the situation.
"We'll be open for a few hours yet. If they need transport to the church, please phone the church number and we can arrange that."

The Mercure hotel, on Dalblair Road in the town, is offering free rooms to those affected.
General manager Lindsay Wilson said: "We are offering complimentary rooms to anybody who has been affected by tonight’s tragic event in Kincaidston.
"Anybody requiring accommodation can contact reception directly and the girls will sort their booking.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected."

Allure Spa, which is based in the Sandgate area of the town, have also offered a bed for the night to those in need.
In a Facebook post, the business said: "People of Kincaidston. If you have to be evacuated and have nowhere to go, we can open up our shop to you.
"We have 10 cosy beds with covers and a kettle. If you're at a loss and have nowhere, please get in touch. We would be more than happy to help."
Evacuated Kincaidston residents concerned about their pet dogs have also been offered help this evening.
Local resident Eryn McKechnie, 27, who lives on Kincaidston Drive, said she can help take in any dogs for the night if neighbours are worried about their pups.
She said: "It's been a bit of a crazy night on my street and safe to say I got a massive fright.
"Worried about the people just up the road from me. If anyone needs help with their dogs tonight or tomorrow and wants to keep them close to home, I work from home and have a wee indoor dog bed (and a garden) to keep them away from my dog if they aren't good with other dogs.
"I'm two minutes away so can collect dogs if they need it. Please feel free to ask."
