Ayr butchers Pollok Williamson land national prizes at Scottish Craft Butcher Awards

Parcels and truffles were the route to awards for Ayr butchers Pollok Williamson.

They had their quality products recognised at a national level in the Scottish Craft Butcher Awards.

The most recent evaluation for ready-to-cook products and barbecue products in Scotland’s butcher’s shops was judged at Forth Valley College.

Pollok Williamson earned a gold award for their peppercorn chicken parcel and silver awards for Braemar truffle and Highland truffle in the ready-to-cook category.

Scott Jarron, president of the awards organisers Scottish Craft Butchers, said: “Custom-ers are becoming increasingly interested in sourcing the very best meat products available.”

Pollok Williamson have two shops in High Street and Mount Oliphant Crescent, Ayr.
