Ayesha Curry fires back at Instagram user who body-shamed her infant son

It’s never a good idea to body-shame anyone, but at the very least, you’d think that a line would be drawn at mocking a baby.

For one Instagram user, though, a hard lesson was learned about shaming Steph and Ayesha Curry’s 10-month-old son, Canon.

Ayesha posted a series of photos to Instagram showing her and her family celebrating the Warriors’ Western Conference Finals sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers. In one of the photos, we can see Ayesha carrying the 10-month-old Canon alongside Steph.

When one Instagram user asked if Ayesha was pregnant again, the chef and TV personality chimed in to say, “Absolutely not LOL. My 30lb son is just breaking my back in every photo.”

That response prompted Instagram trolls to chime in about her infant son’s weight, and Ayesha wasn’t going to tolerate any of that.

Commenters wrote things like, “If that kid is 30lbs he’s got some serious health issues going on.”

Another wrote: “30 lbs?!?!? He’s bigger than my 19 month old nephew,” There was also: “30lbs at 10months?? Sheesh.”

But when someone wrote, “Maybe portion-control his food a bit,” Ayesha jumped in to fire back at the Instagram user. She responded, “Excuse you? No. Just no.”

That response prompted the user to delete the comment with many others backing up Ayesha. It’s simply wrong to mock a baby — don’t do it.

Good on Ayesha for defending her son.
