Axl Rose slashes Steve Mnuchin in Twitter beef

Steve Mnuchin got outgunned on Twitter Wednesday night in a feud with Axl Rose.

Mnuchin has a lot on his plate right now as he tries to negotiate coronavirus relief packages with Democrats. But the treasury secretary apparently still finds time to read Rose's tweets _ and incompetently fire back at the Guns 'n' Roses frontman when he gets called out.

Rose, who impressively has 1.2 million Twitter followers but follows nobody himself, started the spat with the secretary on Wednesday evening. Though he only posts a couple times a month, tops, Rose took the time to call Mnuchin "officially an a_hole," seemingly out of nowhere.

Within an hour, Mnuchin attempted a witty reply, only to stumble before sending the tweet. "What have you done for the country lately?" he asked Rose, adding a Liberian flag emoji at the end instead of, presumably, the American one he intended.

He deleted and got the flag right the second time at least, but judging by his mentions, the comeback didn't impress anyone.
