Axel Tuanzebe out for Man Utd after suffering injury in Liverpool warm-up

Axel Tuanzebe is out of Manchester United's starting XI for Liverpool after picking up an injury in the warm up.

Tuanzebe has suffered a hip strain and has been replaced by Marcos Rojo, with the out-of-favour Phil Jones moving to the bench.

Rojo will line up alongside Victor Lindelof and £80million Harry Maguire, who are flanked by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Ashley Young.

The injury comes as a late blow for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United side, who are injury-ravaged at the moment.

United were handed a boost with the return of David de Gea however, with the Spaniard passing a late fitness test to start.

De Gea suffered a groin injury during the international break while clearing the ball in Spain's Euro 2020 draw with Sweden.

Solskjaer told Sky Sports: "David was adamant he was going to make it and he's declared himself fit. It's important to have big players playing in big games, and he's a leader for us.

"Our approach is to go out there and try to win the game. We've got to be on the front foot and play forward as much as we can."
