Axed presenter Jeremy Kyle could be set to make a comeback on ITV

Jeremy Kyle could soon be making a comeback as ITV bosses are in talks about two TV shows.

The Jeremy Kyle show was axed last month following the suicide of one of the show's guests.

After 14 years the show was canned by ITV, but the broadcaster is now in talks about bringing back the daytime TV programme's popular host.

'The Kyle Files', which has been broadcast in the past, will make a return in which Jeremy will tackle social issues using hidden cameras.

Talks regarding the second programme are apparently still ongoing, with previous shows that Jeremy has been involved in being considered.

These include Jeremy Kyle's Emergency Room, in which people aired medical worries to doctors, and High Stakes, which offered big-money prizes but was axed after one run, CornwallLive reports.

A source revealed: “The Kyle Files will be back as usual in early 2020 and another show is being sought for him.”

Fans were left disappointed and confused last month when The Jeremy Kyle Show was pulled off air after the news broke that guest Steve Dymond had taken his own life.

ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall said in a statement: The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

“Everyone at ITV’s thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond.”

Earlier this week it emerged Kyle had turned down an invitation to be quizzed about the death by a committee of MPs.
