Axe falls on Creative Partnerships?

According to a news story in the Stage, by the esteemed Alistair Smith, Creative Partnerships has claimed it has been told by Arts Council England that its £38.1m annual funding will be cut.

A spokesperson for ACE reponded that "no decisions on the funding of organisations beyond March 2011 have yet been taken by Arts Council England... Decisions will not be made until we know the size and terms of our settlement from government. We are exploring a number of difficult options for future funding and, in the spirit of openness, sharing our thinking with the organisations we currently fund."
