In this edition of our How to be a CEO podcast, we’re talking to the boss of AXA UK and Ireland, Tara Foley.
Foley only took up the position last year but has already made her mark. She reveals her biggest challenges and wins so far whilst in the position, as well as discusses the future plans she has in store for the company.
We'll also be looking at their recent survey, which revealed more than one in five people in the UK want to start their own business, and a third want to begin that journey within the next two years.
The research also showed that six out of ten young people want to run their own business by the age of thirty, and a quarter of Gen X would also like to be their own boss.
Tara also discusses the struggles that small businesses are facing right now.
The study coincides with the AXA Start-up Angel competition, which is run in partnership with the Evening Standard and gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to win capital, and get first-class mentoring.
