Awkward moment Piers Morgan is cut off during rant at ITV Good Morning Britain director

Piers Morgan was back on our screens this morning, proving controversial as usual.

The outspoken TV presenter informed viewers that the Good Morning Britain director had returned to his post after working for ITV's Big Debate.

Awkwardly, director Erron, had written in an Instagram post that his career highlight was working on the politics show, while also working at GMB, reports the Mirror.

Piers was not happy, he said: "We've got our director back today, Erron, last week he directed the big debate and then he tweeted it was his career highlight.

"So his career highlight doesn't involve the people he works with every day? It's alright, we're not taking it personally.

"I was going to take you to the White House for my next interview but... that's showbiz, you're gone."

The show suffered 'technical difficulties' (ITV)

Piers' image was then replaced by a screen saying the programme was suffering from "technical difficulties".

Piers wasn't impressed, saying: "Technical difficulties? There'll be directorial difficulties, trust me."
