Awkward Loose Women moment as Corrie's Jennie McAlpine cut off despite her pleas

Jennie McAlpine was awkwardly shut down on Loose Women today as she tried to mention something just before the break.

The Coronation Street star joined Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Jane Moore to talk about her return to the soap after the birth of her second child.

But after forgetting something she wanted to mention until the last minute, she was shut down as she tried to squeeze it in.

As the interview came to close, Andrea thanked Jennie for joining them and she jumped in, saying: "Oh, am I allowed to mention something really quickly? No? No?"

Andrea looked at her and shook her head, telling her there wasn't.

"Are you sure?" Jennie asked.

Another said: "Haha. Too slow to promote whatever s***e they’ve booked her to promote."

One posted: "sod the f***ing break let her say it"

The 35-year-old had been talking about her return to the cobbles, and admitted she'd been worrying about remembering her lines.

The former I'm A Celebrity star, who shares children Albert, four, and Hilda, nine months, with husband Chris Farr, said while she was "thrown in at the deep end", it was like "riding a bike" as she returned to her role as Fiz.

Jennie also laughed about people thinking she'd named her new baby after iconic character Hilda Ogden, and that she didn't realise until much later that her son was named after rival soap EastEnders' Albert Square.
