'Awful feeling' - What Bristol City, Leeds United and Arsenal are saying with Eddie Nketiah set to be recalled

Eddie Nketiah is set to be recalled by Arsenal following an underwhelming time at Leeds United.

Bristol City are in pole position to take Nketiah on loan in January when he returns from Elland Road,

Here are what fans of each club are saying about the situation.

Bristol City

James Cox: Would obviously love Nketiah down the Gate - who wouldn't? - but I'm not jumping with joy just yet. In terms of footballing prowess, Bristol City certainly aren't top of the pile and one striker will not solve all our problems. Would be an excellent acquisition, however.

James: Eddie Nketiah has had fewer Championship minutes than Benik Afobe this season.

Shaun: Nketiah could finally be on his way... very soon! Steve Lansdown and Mark Ashton... please make this happen!

Sam Jefferies: Send him to Bristol City like you should have done from the start.

Bracey: Don't care about Nketiah. Messed us around last time who says he won't do it again? Let's not get our hopes up.

James: Not holding my breathe on Nketiah. We don't have a good track record of beating Championship rivals to signings. Hope we get him though of course.

Myles: Palmer and Nketiah!

Chris Howlett: Us losing out to him two times would be the most Bristol City thing ever.

Maestro Bambino: With the way Bristol City fans are happy with the prospect of loaning Nketiah makes me think there is something there for him. I trust Nketiah can help our forwards in the long run. Can even be our main striker.

Wesman Child: We should keep him or let him stay at Leeds.

Sam: Should keep him with us.

Amy: Good, anywhere in the Championship he’ll start consistently is a good move.

Francis: He's not getting what he and we were promised. Hopefully his new club gives him the right amount of minutes.

Meezy: Anywhere in the championship he’ll start consistently is a good move.

Vouchers: Keep him. I think he'll get some game time, we can't keep running Auba in to the ground.

Leeds United

Will C: So that’s Nketiah going. Possible destination is Brentford or Bristol City. I’ve got an awful feeling about this...

Tom Huffinley: The curious thing about Nketiah is that surely he’s going to develop more with us, despite playing less, than playing week in week out for Lee Johnson.

Ross Sharp: I mean he’s gotta be replaced if he does go, I see Arsenal’s argument and I see ours as well, really can’t knock Bamford in his past ten games or so, don’t think Nketiah was up to it yesterday but a shame we’re not gonna have him to come off the bench where he’s been deadly.

Richard: I wish he would stay a good back up when needed.

Stuart Grant: Love to know what Victor told Arsenal in his top class PowerPoint presentation. We were going to leave £7m striker & top earner Patrick Bamford on the bench?

Tom Carnduff: Eddie Nketiah getting recalled by Arsenal then. Just couldn’t get the playing time at Leeds but scored some important goals earlier in the campaign. Leeds are believed to have a replacement in mind while another Championship club is getting a promising young striker.

Talk About Leeds: Baffles me how hard we battled to beat Bristol City to Nketiah's signature for him to have such little involvement this season. However, it was clear he didn't play the style of football Bielsa wanted, so best wishes to him!

Luke: I'd much rather Nketiah stays, but I don't think him going back is a disaster assuming we replace him adequately. Fortunately it does seem we have been making moves on the assumption he's recalled so hopefully it's not a mad scramble to get someone in.
