Award winning Merseyside chip shop Fylde has reopened for delivery

An award-winning Merseyside fish and chip shop has reopened for delivery during the coronavirus lockdown.

Fylde Fish and Chips, which has restaurants in Birkdale , Marshside and Burscough, closed the doors to all its locations on March 23 to ensure the safety of staff and customers.

The team took to Facebook to say that the decision was not an easy one and thanking customers for their support.

Now, more than a month later, Fylde has launched a delivery service, and has plans in the works to begin Click and Collect.

Operating a limited menu, some of Fylde’s most popular dishes have made the list, including scampi and chips, salt and pepper squid and chips, Fylde cod fish bites with crispy batter and more.

On it’s menu, Fylde also gives customers the chance to donate to NHS Charities Together, which will go towards NHS staff and volunteers caring for coronavirus patients.

Fans of Fylde have been sharing their excitement on Facebook, with one person saying: “Yessssssssasss!!!!!!”.

Another said: “Can’t wait... proper fish and chips”, while someone else added: “Fab news ... can’t wait to book a slot”.

Customers can order from Fylde via its website .
