Award-winning LittleLife travel cot recalled over fears it could tip over

An award-winning baby cot is being recalled over fears that it could potentially tip over in “certain circumstances”

LittleLife’s Featherlite Lightweight Travel Cot has featured on a series of 'best of' lists - particularly for its weight and ease of assembly.

The £150 product was also a Bronze Winner for travel cots at the Made For Mum Awards 2020.

But the manufacturer has discovered a flaw in the design that could potentially cause harm to babies.

LittleLife says that the cot “can become unstable” which could lead to the cot tipping over.

Scots are being urged to return the product immediately for a full refund or for a new replacement, which is currently in development.

The travel cot is also currently showing as out of stock on both the Boots and LittleLife websites.

A spokesperson for LittleLife said: “It has come to our attention that even though the Featherlite Lightweight Travel Cot has passed all relevant British Standard safety testing, under certain circumstances the cot can become unstable which could potentially lead to the cot tipping over.

“LittleLife take all safety issues very seriously and so in the interests of customer safety we have taken the decision to recall all these cots in order to prevent any risk of harm to users.

“The cot is currently being redesigned to prevent the risk of tipping and we expect the new version to be available shortly.

“We would ask anyone that has purchased any of these items to return the cot along with a proof of purchase to the address shown below indicating if you like a new replacement version when available or a full refund. All return postage charges will also be fully reimbursed.”

Customers impacted by the recall should return the product to: Neil Butler, Lifemarque Limited, 1 Bacchus House, Calleva Park, Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 8EN.
