An award-winning Bristol brewery is doing its bit to support local pubs by giving discounts to customers drinking their beers at home - as well as to the pubs themselves.
The new ‘Help Us Help Pubs’ initiative from St Philips-based Good Chemistry Brewing is encouraging its customers to help their favourite pubs restock their empty cellars as they prepare to reopen in April.
Every time a case of cans is bought from Good Chemistry Brewing’s webshop from now until April 12, customers will receive a 10% discount and the opportunity to nominate a pub of their choice.
Nominated pubs receive credit towards Good Chemistry Brewing when they’re finally allowed to re-open after restrictions are lifted.
Good Chemistry Brewing co-founder and head brewer Bob Cary said: “We’re all missing going to the pub, and this continued enforced closure isn’t something any of us would have anticipated a year ago that we’d still be suffering under.
“Having basically been closed since the start of November, pubs will have to re-stock their cellars all over again in order to open back up in April.”
Good Chemistry co-founder Kelly Sidgwick said: “We want to give your favourite pubs a helping hand when it comes to re-stocking, and let them know their customers are ready and waiting to show them the love they deserve. We hope it’ll give pubs a bit of a boost knowing their customers out there have got their backs.”
Help Us Help Pubs is running until pubs can re-open for outside service, on 12th April.
Good Chemistry Brewing has spent the last five years establishing a strong customer base in Bristol and developing a reputation for great beer and popular events, including the East Bristol Brewery Trail.
Bob and Kelly launched their St Philips brewery in 2015 and opened their first pub, The Good Measure in Redland, in December 2018. The brewery also has an onsite tap room open throughout the summer where you can taste and buy the beers, which are all vegan-friendly.
