Frank Lampard remains under immense pressure at Chelsea.
A 4-0 win over Morecambe in the FA Cup lifted some of the gloom around Stamford Bridge, but it is in the Premier League where owner Roman Abramovich and the Blues supporters will want to see improvement in the coming weeks.
The Blues have not won in the top flight since before Christmas and that win over West Ham remains their only one in their last six matches.
Lampard has been linked with the sack in west London, with his big summer signings failing to hit the ground running and there have been plenty of names linked with replacing him as boss.
One of those shock names in the frame is Avram Grant, who was in charge of Chelsea during the 2007/08 campaign when they finished as runners-up in the Premier League, League Cup and Champions League.
The former boss has been linked with a return to the Bridge to work alongside Lampard, with Bild journalist Christian Falk tweeting on Friday that Grant could even replace Lampard.
Falk said: "This option is being discussed at Chelsea if Lampard is dismissed: Avram Grant could take over now, and Thomas Tuchel will be manager in summer."
Grant, however, has urged the club’s hierarchy to give his former player time to turn things around.
"What I can say to Frank and the others at the club is be patient, and more than this do whatever is necessary to do that for sure,” he said in an Instagram post.
"Two things - never lose it even when things are going well, don't lose your fighting spirit at the highest level. And second, don't lose what you have here [points at head], you need to think right and look for solutions.
"If you do that then everything will be okay because the quality is there and there is a potential like there was, during my time [at Chelsea]."
Tuchel was recently sacked by Paris Saint-Germain, to be replaced by Mauricio Pochettino.
