Avon Fire and Rescue called to shed fire in Bishopsworth during early hours of the morning

Crews from Temple and Bedminster Fire Station were called to reports of a shed fire in Bishopsworth on Culverwell Road during the early hours of this morning (April 10).

The shed fire affected several properties on the road but a spokesperson for Avon and Fire Rescue confirmed it was an accident.

The spokesperson said: "At 1.41am, crews from Bedminster and Temple fire stations were mobilised to reports of a shed fire on Culverwell Road in Bishopsworth.

"On arrival, firefighters found a shed fire affecting several properties.

"Crews used four breathing apparatus for safety, and one 45mm jet to extinguish the fire.

"They also used a turntable ladder and thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

"The cause is thought to be accidental."
