Avery Bradley believes Lakers give him the chance to reach ‘full potential’

Aside from the two stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the player on the Los Angeles Lakers getting his name-dropped the most throughout the first few days of practice has been veteran guard Avery Bradley.

The 28-year old guard was one of the later adds to the roster, coming off of a few disappointing seasons with stops with Detroit, the Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies. But he’s been the talk of Lakers training camp and he reiterated to reporters at Tuesday’s practice that he felt like he could reach his potential in purple and gold. Bradley compared this Lakers team to playing on strong, veteran Boston Celtics teams in the early part of the decade.

Bradley’s been a decent 3-point shooter in his career but his defense had appeared to slip over the last couple of seasons. However, that has apparently changed in the early going in Lakers practice. But on that same note, strong guard play wasn’t exactly a talking point about these Lakers and it will mean a whole lot more if he’s locking down opposing backcourts when the games actually begin.

If he does that and slots in as a complimentary player, then training camp won’t be the only time people are talking about him.
