Avengers: Endgame tickets are selling for ridiculous prices on ebay

Avengers: Endgame tickets went on sale early this week, causing fans and servers around the world to melt down.  Pre-sale demand for the film was so high that ticketing sites like Fandango and Cinemark crashed or had enormous wait times. In just 6 hours, Endgame tickets broke all previous box office pre-sale records. If that wasn’t crazy enough, people are now reselling Avengers: Endgame opening day tickets for obscene amounts of money on ebay.

A quick search shows that some enterprising scalpers are really shooting their shot, offering up tickets for anywhere from $300 to $25,000. The good news seems to be that, as of this posting, not very many people actually seem to be bidding on these prices.

But, according to NJ.com, at least one person bought Endgame tickets for an astounding $15,000.

While this is a totally ludicrous amount of money to spend on a movie that will be shown in almost every theater across the country for the next several weeks, it does speak to the insane popularity of the film, and the desperate desire many people have to avoid spoilers.

Endgame promises to wrap up the story arcs of Marvel’s heavy hitters, like Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, and no one wants to be the least to know who eventually bites it in the end. Still, $15,000 is excessive. For that kind of money you should be able to put on the Iron Man suit and take it for a spin.
