Avengers Endgame saw Robert Downey Jr. bring the tale of Tony Stark aka Iron Man to a close as the beloved superhero sacrificed himself to finally put a stop to the evil Thanos (Josh Brolin) once and for all.
Using the Infinity Stones to snap away Thanos' army and the Mad Titan himself, the power from the stones ended up proving fatal for the hero.
In an emotional funeral scene, a recorded hologram message said an extra goodbye to Tony's wife Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and their daughter, Morgan.
But one Reddit fan theory is convinced this is evidence that Tony will be making a comeback.
Reddit user ankitkvishwakarma wrote: "When [the] hologram was about to end we saw that Tony stood up from his chair and came towards Morgan and made eye contact with [her] and said ‘I love you 3000’.”
They continue: “So the suspicious part about this scene is that if it was a prerecorded hologram how would Tony know that Morgan would be sitting on the sofa when Pepper and Morgan would be watching the hologram?
“And also how would he know the location from where the hologram was getting projected?
“Not just the location but how would a 3D hologram make eye contact with a human.
“How would Tony know the locations before recording?
“According to science, it isn't possible for a pre-recorded message to be like this.
“What if? It was Tony's A.I.? Backed up in his helmet?”
This would certainly be mind-blowing!
We know Peter Parker would love to see him again, and thankfully he's sticking around in the MCU from now on.
Meanwhile, Downey Jr. is , alongside Scarlett Johansson as fellow deceased Avenger, Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff.
