Avengers: Endgame: Stan Lee didn't get to see the Marvel movie before he died, studio president reveals

Stan Lee didn’t get to see the finished Avengers: Endgame before he died, the president of Marvel Studios has revealed.

Kevin Feige answered fan questions in a Reddit AMA, including one about the late comic book legend.

Lee, who co-created Iron Man, Thor and Spider-Man among many superheroes, died November 2018 aged 95. Avengers: Endgame was released in April 2019, leaving some fans wondering how much of the film, if any, Lee got to see before his death.

“This has been eating at me,” one person wrote during Feige’s Reddit session.

“How much did Stan Lee know about Endgame before he passed? Was there a version far enough along for him to screen it prior to his death?”

Feige replied: “Stan loved to wait to see the final movie at the premiere, so unfortunately he did not get to see the finished movie.

“Stan got a download of the full story the day he came and shot his cameo.”

Lee famously appeared during brief cameos in Marvel films. He shot his last one for Avengers: Endgame.
