JAIPUR: Second seed Avalokit Singh (ONGC) defeated top-billed Lakshya Gwala 11-7,11-5, 11-8 to claim the fourth Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) squash men's title at Rajasthan Squash Academy, SMS Stadium, here on Friday. Ali Hyder (NRL) and Visva Vardhan Bhati (OIL) bagged the bronze.
In the women's final, Mansi Motwani (NRL) defeated Chandan Pukan (OIL) 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 to wrest the title. Raj Kumar Dubey (Indian Oil) won the title in the veterans' category after beating Udit Jain (Indian Oil) 9-11, 11-5, 11-8 9-11, 15-13 in a 45-minute long match.
The men's team championship was won by ONGC with OIL finishing second. In the women's category, NRL claimed the gold with OIL bagging the silver. Indian Oil claimed the veterans' team title with OIL securing second place.
Surbhi Misra Sports Foundation founder Surbhi Misra, Rajasthan Squash Rackets Association secretary Dhiraj Singh, IOCL executive director Rajkumar Dubey and HR Petronet LNG DGM Vipul Chandra Singh gave away the prizes.
