Ava, 12, died after she was stabbed by a 14-year-old boy in Liverpool city centre. Boy A accepts responsibility for causing her fatal injury, but says he acted in self-defence.
The teen, from South Liverpool, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denies murder and manslaughter. He has admitted possessing an offensive weapon.
A jury at Liverpool Crown Court has previously watched footage of Boy A and one of his friends, Boy B, 14, running away from the scene of the stabbing, in School Lane, at around 8.35pm on November 25 last year. The two youths then headed out of the city centre.

A 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a bus.
The teen was on the Arriva service 53 from Queen Square bus station to Crosby between 3.20pm and 3.40pm on March 18. Detectives are now issuing images of a man they believe may have information that could help with their enquiries.
CCTV and witness enquiries are currently ongoing, and witnesses are asked to contact police. Detective Inspector James Halpin said: “Everyone should be able to use public transport without the fear of being subjected to an incident like this."
Man caught bouncing on mum's BMW when she didn't open the door at 1am
A mum said that her children have been left 'terrified' after their car was attacked in the middle of the night.
Hannah Wilkes had gone out on Saturday to watch Liverpool's victorious FA Cup win over Chelsea. After returning home she was lying in bed in Burnie Avenue in Bootle when she was awoken by a loud noise.
In CCTV footage captured from Hannah's home shortly before 1am on Sunday, it appears to show a man walking onto her driveway and knocking on the door. He then walks back out onto the street where Hannah's, BMW is parked.
He then appears to climb on top of her car and jump on it before getting into another car and driving off. The mum of two said: "I heard a bang and then sort of a big smash so I sat up and looked out the window and there was a guy bouncing on the windscreen and the bonnet.
"My neighbours came out because they were still awake and my two neighbours opposite said they saw a Fiesta with a girl driving it. He then got in the car and drove away after he has jumped all over my car."
