Ava Holmgren successfully defends elite women's Canadian cyclocross title

Ava Holmgren (Stimulus-Orbea) secured a second consecutive elite women's title at the Canadian Cyclocross Championships on Saturday in Saanich, British Columbia.

Holmgren dominated the elite women's event, finishing more than a minute and a half ahead of runner-up Christiane Bilodeau (Juventus) and Katelyn Walcroft (Red Truck Racing p/b Mosaic Homes).

Holmgren's twin sister and junior world champion, Isabella, won the under-23 women's race title ahead of Jenaya Francis (Grouwels-Watersley R+D Team) and Ella Myers (The Bike Shop).

Ava Holmgren and Isabella Holmgren will make their debut on the Women's WorldTeam Lidl-Trek in 2024.
