Autographed Tom Brady rookie card sells for $556K at auction

With every single win at this point, Tom Brady’s status in NFL history continues to skyrocket.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is on his way to Super Bowl appearance No. 10 with the possibility of winning No. 7. After switching teams following 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and playing at an all-time elite level, it’s difficult for anyone to denounce him as the GOAT.

With that being said, it’s easy to assume he carries the most weight in NFL history when it comes to trading cards. On Monday, an autographed rookie card list by PWCC Marketplace of the 43-year-old was auctioned off for $555,988.

PWCC says the card is “what we personally believe to be the single most important modern football card ever produced.”

“The fragile gold foil ticket truly excites as it possesses no visual scuffs, scratches, or imperfections. All four corners are uniformly untouched with the fragile periphery being entirely clean; rare as this card is typically plagued by edge chipping. Furthermore, one of the most difficult aspects of this card, the autograph is seemingly pristine and brilliantly penned in black ink.”

Brady and the Buccaneers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV and if he wins, that insane price could continue to ascend.
