A 65-year-old man from Austria bitten 'in the genital area' by his neighbour's python.
It's reported that the 5ft albino python possibly escaped through a drain and ended up hiding in this man's toilet.
The 65-year-old, from the city of Graz, was bitten by the snake at around 6am Monday as he used the toilet in his apartment.
Police said the man had just sat down when he felt a 'pinch' on his genitals and was startled to see the snake staring back at him from the toilet bowl.
Local reports state that "the victim of the bite had to be brought to the Graz regional hospital by the Red Cross with minor injuries, not least because of the increased risk of infection due to the germs in the toilet."
The police statement said: "Shortly after he sat on the toilet the Graz resident - by his own account - felt a 'pinch' in the area of his genitals."
After emergency services contacted a reptile expert, the snake was removed from the toilet, cleaned and returned to its owner.
However, the 24-year-old neighbour, who owns 11 snakes and a gecko, has been reported to the prosecutors' office on suspicion of negligently causing bodily harm, the police said.
The veterinary office will also have a say if the owner of the snakes will be allowed to maintain custody of the serpents.
