Austria and Germany are looking for ways to work together along their shared border to keep undocumented migrants out.
But they'll have to find a way around the Schengen Zone agreement which ensures border-free travel within the European Union.
It's a heated issue in both countries - and nearly split Germany's coalition government earlier this month.
