Australian Survivor 2026 Winner Caleb Beeby Has Revealed How He Plans To Spend His $500K Prize

Australian Survivor 2026 winner Caleb Beeby and David Genat

After 45 days of brutal gameplay in Samoa and six agonising months waiting back in Australia for the results, Caleb Beeby was officially announced as the winner of Australian Survivor: Redemption on Tuesday night.

The 29-year-old truck driver beat out 24-year-old pro wrestler Jackson Goonrey in a six-three vote, taking home the title of Sole Survivor and the $500,000 cash prize that comes along with it.

While previous winners have spent the money on conventional purposes like family, travel, or buying a house, Caleb told PEDESTRIAN.TV that he has a surprising plan in mind now that he’s half a million dollars richer.

“My whole life, I’ve always wanted to climb Mount Everest, but it costs 100 grand to do it. And so to get some mountaineering experience and do other summits, it’s something that I’ve wanted to do, but it’s not something that I’ve really tried to pursue. And now that is so real,” he shared.

“So I want to do something that’ll change my life, just like Survivor changed my life.”

Just like he did in the game of Survivor, Caleb “Chaos” added that he wants to “make smart moves” and do something that will benefit him in the long run.

“I know you need money to make money, so I want to use this opportunity to make some serious money,” he remarked. “I’ll get some good financial advice, I’ll see what’s the best way now in Victoria to invest some of that money and do something that’ll really shake the game up in my life.”

Caleb regrets his Final Tribal Council pitch

He may have ultimately won the game, but jurors and viewers alike agreed that Caleb’s pitch at Final Tribal Council was a complete mess — to put it lightly. After failing to mention key moments in his game, he relied on his allies Mark Warnock and Lauren ‘Loz’ Mac to tell the rest of the jury about some of his big moves.

Looking back on the Final Tribal Council, Caleb admitted that he knew he had played a winning game but “dropped the ball in the pitch”.

“I could not turn off from playing such a secretive game to all of a sudden, the next day, play an open game and tell everyone my moves. I couldn’t do it,” he shared. “So I remember talking about all the crabs I caught, all the fish, I foraged for this, and I did that, and they’re looking at each other, like ‘Huh?’.”

One of his biggest moves was blindsiding Keeley Jenkinson at the final five, convincing her that he’d take her to the end before voting her to the jury, but he completely blanked when reflecting on his game.

“Did I bring that up in my pitch? No. Did I bring up hardly any of my moves? No,” he said.

“And so I’m sitting there with my head hanging down, and she’s like, ‘Caleb, I was one of the biggest players of the game, and you haven’t spoken about me at all, where’s my big blindside?’ and I went, ‘I blindsided half of you people’, and they’re like, ‘Well, then say that!’.”

If you think you can outwit, outplay and outlast your opponents to become Sole Survivor like Caleb, casting is now open for the 2027 season of Australian Survivor. The new season will be filmed in Malaysia with 24 brand new players and a mysterious “world-first” theme, so lock in your guesses now.
