The gold medal defence of Australia's mixed doubles squash pairing of Donna Lobban and Cameron Pilley is over.
Lobban and Pilley have fallen to England's Alison Waters and Adrian Waller, losing 11-8 11-8 in a Saturday semi-final.
The reigning champions now face a bronze medal match and they're on the path to face No.1 seeds Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Saurav Ghosal of India.
The Indian world champions suffered an upset loss to New Zealand's Joelle King and Paul Coll in their semi-final, going down 11-7 11-4.
Pilley said despite being out of gold medal reckoning, there was still much to fight for in their last match.
"At the end of the day if you can't win the gold, you're going to take silver or bronze," he said.
"For us, if we win the match tomorrow we are going to be standing on the podium.
"I have won bronze a couple of times before and it's still very special."
Fellow Australians Alex Haydon and Jess Turnbull moved into the women's doubles plate semi-final where they'll face Botswana's Naomi Neo Phatsima and Leungo Katse.
Haydon and Turnbull beat Guyana's Mary Fung-a-fat and Ashley Khalil 11-3 11-4 in their quarter-final.
Also on Saturday in a men's doubles plate quarter-final, Australia's Zac Alexander and Ryan Cuskelly fell in straight sets to Scotland's Greg Lobban and Rory Stewart.
And Pilley and Rhys Dowling also were beaten in straight sets in a men's doubles quarter-final by England's James Willstrop and James Declan.
