Australian media laws 'threaten diversity'

Australia's prime minister John Howard has not ruled out changing planned new media ownership laws. Several of his own party's members are concerned that the laws will narrow media diversity. There is a belief that there will be too great a concentration of ownership in rural and regional areas.
