Australian hotel serves 'abomination' in Guinness pint glass as people horrified

Look, we get it, Guinness can be enjoyed in many different ways (yes, even from a can!)

A straight pint, perhaps in some bread or even a pie - the black stuff tastes good always.

But sometimes, some restaurant owners get completely ahead of themselves and just decide to wreck everything.

Take for example, the New Sydney Hotel in Australia, who offer a lovely Guinness pie on paper for $26 (around about €15.90)

Better still, it comes with a side of green beans.

Sounds delicious right?

Look at what they serve it in.

Look at this monstrosity! (Reddit)

The picture originally went up on r/WeWantPlates, a page on Reddit dedicated to restaurants putting food in or on anything except where it should be, i.e on a plate.

People in the comments were horrified: "But there’s a plate already… why didn’t they just put it on the plate?"

Another added: "That is an abomination. I would immediately pour it on a plate or bowl and eat it like a civilized Irish lad."

While a third said: "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should."

It got even worse on Twitter when even more Irish people saw the monstrosity.

One said: "This is a crime against world peace surely. Someone call the UN."

"SACRILEGOUS" screamed another.

Another said that the glass was "an act of war".

And on this occasion, we have to agree.
