Australia vs Pakistan: Watch - Pakistan deploy marble slabs in nets to mimic bounce in Perth pitch

Pakistan take on Australia in the first Test beginning December 14 on the traditionally fast and bouncy Perth, which forced the visitors to deploy an innovative method in the nets to help the batters get used to the bounce.

Pakistan haven't recorded a Test victory in Australia in 27 years, and the conditions at the Optus Stadium will only stiffen the challenge for the visitors to end that jinx. So to help their batters tackle the pace and bounce that Pat Cummins & Co an produce on the juicy track, Pakistan think-tank came up with an idea.

The Pakistan team, led by new skipper Shan Masood who took over the reigns after Babar Azam stepped down following the World Cup debacle, was not happy with the 'slow and low' track rolled out for their four-day tour match against Australia's Prime Minister's XI last week in Canberra.

So ahead of the Test in Perth, the Pakistan team put marble slabs on the practice tracks in the nets to mimic the pace and extra bounce that the Optus Stadium pitch may have in store.

The focus on the series from an Australian point of view is on it being dubbed as David Warner's farewell series
