Australia Today's Allison Langdon buried her face in her hands during this morning's show after a Royal Family gaffe left her co-host chuckling.
Allison and Karl Stefanovic were chatting with a royal expert about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's interview with Meghan Markle when Allison remarked that the Queen has "weathered a lot of storms lately."
But she got her words muddled and accidentally claimed that Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was in prison rather than hospital while listing off everything the Queen has had to deal with in recent years.
These included the public scrutiny of Prince Andrew over his friendship with late financier and convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Prince Philip remains in hospital, recovering from heart surgery.

"She has weathered a lot of storms lately," Allison began, "Prince Andrew, this, and of course her husband's in jail so... oh, prison! No, hospital! Let's go with hospital."
"Breaking news this morning..." Karl joked.
"Oh, no, breaking news," laughed Allison, "Let's go with hospital. And I'm going to stop speaking right now.
"Anyway, our thoughts are with the Queen this morning."

Karl added: "From the hospital to the clink! He's having a tough day, Phil."
"He is... so am I," Allison replied before they moved on to the next segment.
Harry and Meghan made a number of serious claims during their interview with Oprah, which Buckingham Palace has since addressed in a statement.

Meghan told that she had struggled with suicidal thoughts, claiming that she asked one of the "most senior" people if she could get help but was told it wouldn't be good for the institution.
She also claimed that a member of the Royal Family had expressed concern over what skin tone her and Harry's son Archie would be.
Meghan would not reveal the identity of who exactly had made the remark, though Oprah did confirm Harry had told her it was not the Queen or Prince Phillip.
The Palace's statement read: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."
