Allrounder Kim Garth will make her ODI debut for Australia in the field in the second ODI against Pakistan at Brisbane's Allan Border Field after the visitors won the toss.

Garth, who has played all of her previous 34 ODIs for Ireland, made her Twenty20 international debut for Australia against India last month.

She comes in for Megan Schutt.

Pakistan are unchanged from the side that lost by eight wickets in Monday's opening match of the series.

The hosts chased 158 for the loss of two wickets on Monday, with rising star Phoebe Litchfield making an unbeaten 78 on debut and returning skipper Meg Lanning posting 67.

Lanning said Garth deserved her chance.

"There were some brave decisions to move over the other side of the world to chase your dream," Lanning said.

"I've played a little bit alongside Kim and I thoroughly enjoy it. She is a very fiery character, very competitive and very skilful too, so I can't wait to see her do her thing."

Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof and veteran allrounder Nida Dar, who made an impressive 59 against Australia in the first ODI, will need more support from their batters if they are to post a competitive total.
