Australia has made a parliamentary demonstration of solidarity with Ukraine ahead of marking one year since Russia's invasion.
Next Friday will be 365 days since Russia invaded Ukraine and majorly escalated the war which began in 2014 with the annexation of Crimea.
With speculation Russia might be planning a fresh military offensive to coincide with the anniversary, parliamentarians from all sides of politics gathered to show their support for Ukraine.
Ukraine's ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko attended parliament for the photo taken in the House of Representatives chamber.
Since the invasion, Australia has provided about $655 million in support for Ukraine, including $475 million in military assistance.
This includes a total of 90 Bushmaster armoured vehicles which transport troops.
Up to 70 Australian soldiers have also joined partner nations in the United Kingdom to train Ukrainian troops in infantry tactics and military skills.
Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, who also oversees the defence portfolio, last week promised Australia would provide Ukraine with military supplies for as long as needed.
