Australia's Speight signs short-term deal with Ulster

(Reuters) - Ulster have signed Australia winger Henry Speight from Super Rugby side Brumbies on a short-term contract, the Irish PRO 14 club said on Monday.

Speight, 30, will move to the Kingspan Stadium this month in a similar deal that took fellow Brumbies player Christian Lealiifano to Belfast last season.

"This is a fresh challenge for me and I hope to embrace it by relishing every moment and by adding value to the group as best I can," Speight said.

Speight, who was born in Fiji, has represented the Wallabies 19 times and made over 100 Super Rugby appearances for the Brumbies. He will return to Australia on Dec. 31 for the 2019 season.
