
Australia's former Prime Minister Bob Hawke has died at 89.
A former trade union leader, Hawke served four terms as prime minister and was considered a reformer.
He cemented his place as the prime minister of the working class when he, effectively, announced a spontaneous national holiday after Australia's 1983 America's Cup win.
