Australia’s Forgotten Bushfire Survivors

Australia’s Forgotten Bushfire Survivors
They live in caravans or makeshift tents, next to their burned homes. Australia’s bushfire victims are still struggling, more than six months after the disaster that changed their lives forever. In the small community of Cobargo in the state of New South Wales, some residents lost family and livelihoods. Others lost houses they had built with their own hands. As they grieve, they attempt to clean up and rebuild. But despite the international outpouring of aid, some residents are not getting the funds they need to move on. 101 East follows the victims’ journeys as they try to survive and rebuild their lives.
