Australia rugby player Sam Talakai made his debut against Wales in Cardiff, and treated the post-match audience to a rousing rendition of Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi.
Last weekend, Wayne Pivac's side conceded 26 unanswered points to the Wallabies, resulting in a momentous defeat for Wales. Dave Rennie's Australia will have been bouncing off the walls after the dramatic ending, and that energy transferred into Talakai when he took to the microphone to sing the iconic 1986 smash hit after the match.
According to former Wallaby Drew Mitchell, who was capped 71 times for his country, it is a Welsh tradition that is performed by newly-capped players once they have been presented with their first cap.
However, as Mitchell went on to divulge on Twitter, opposition players are encouraged to do the same, providing their first cap is at the Principality Stadium.
Mitchell wrote "How good is rugby? Love this."
Talakai appeared to be quite comfortable and composed behind the microphone, and addressed the room by saying: "Yeah, if the boys could just help me out here, ay?"
The 31-year-old broke into song and got the whole room singing along with him. So much so, he even stopped singing during parts of the chorus to allow the room to sing on its own. Upon finishing, he was met with a resounding applause, cheering and whooping from his 'crowd'.
