CANBERRA (Reuters) - Australia's top central banker said on Monday it would be legitimate to question the effectiveness of global monetary policy easings to boost economic growth even as the country itself is on a path to further lower domestic interest rates.

Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Governor Philip Lowe, speaking at a public forum in Canberra, also said more infrastructure investment would benefit the country's struggling economy.

Just last week Lowe said a recent cut in Australia interest rates to an all-time low of 1.25% would not be enough to revive economic growth.
