Australia blow South Africa away as Lions fans all say the same thing

Australia have beaten South Africa 30-17 to record a second win over the world champions in a week.

The Wallabies scored four tries as they won the Rugby Championship clash is some style at the Suncorp Stadium.

It was a result and thrilling performance that had many Lions fans asking the same thing - just why didn't Warren Gatland's side play more attacking rugby this summer?

Wales legend Jonathan Davies was among those to make the observation after the turgid summer series he admitted to switching off during the second Test.

Marika Koroibete and Len Ikitau scored two tries each for the Wallabies, who had trailed 17-15 early in the second-half.

But they took control of proceedings, establishing a 13-point lead and withstanding the inevitable Springboks onslaught late on.

The result now means the All Blacks can knock South Africa off the top of the World Rugby rankings if they beat Argentina convincingly later on Saturday.

The Wallabies had beaten the Boks last Sunday 28-26, but this was an even more convincing performance and victory.
